This has no resemblance to the old Mc double. The new Mc double is a double cheese burger with 1 less slice of cheese for 30 cents cheaper. Back in the day when the mc chicken was released, Mc Donald's also released a burger called the Mc double, which was sadly taken off the menu a few years later. The Mc double was 2 patties ,lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mayonnaise all for a dollar. Uncertified
I could have sworn that the McDouble used to be precisely as you describe. Which is why I was more than a little disappointed when I bought that shitty excuse for a burger.
ReplyDeleteWhen I tried to point out that this was not, in fact, a McDouble, but a poor man's double cheeseburger, they told me that they never had a sandwich like that, or at least that I must have been thinking of the Big and Tasty. I conceded their point, as the old McDouble hasn't been available for seven years or so and I may well have been mistaken, but it still left me dissatisfied.
